After 15 incredible years of leadership, vision, and heart, we say farewell to our superintendent, Angela Nettleton, as she begins her well-deserved retirement! It’s nearly impossible to sum up the impact she’s had—not just in boardrooms and classrooms—but in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to work alongside her. She has been an amazing leader, a tireless advocate for students, a mentor to teachers and administrators, a partner to parents, and a familiar face at student performances in music/band, art events, athletic events and many, many other events throughout the years. She’s answered every call (sometimes literally at 4:30 a.m. on a snow day), celebrated every win, and never failed to bring humor and heart to even the most stressful situations.

Throughout her time at Pickford Public Schools, she’s guided us with a mix of wisdom and compassion—reminding us that the work we do is serious, but we don’t always have to be. While we’ll miss her dearly, we know she’s passing the baton into capable hands. Until a new superintendent is selected, our elementary principal, Mr. Kyle Rairigh, will be stepping in to lead the district. We trust she’s left a few sticky notes behind to help him out—and maybe a few snacks in the drawer!

We wish Mrs. Nettleton all the best in this next chapter, filled with morning coffee that doesn’t come with emails, and snow days that don’t require a district-wide phone call.

Thank you for everything—you’ve left a legacy that will be felt for years to come.
