Students in Mrs. Reintsma's 2nd grade class created a topography “map” out of sand and yarn to exhibit some landforms they have learned about. Then we did a gallery walk to see each creation. 😊

Today, students in Mrs. Brood’s 5th grade wore orange in observance of “Unity Day.”
Unity Day is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention month. Orange is worn to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a message that no child should ever experience bullying.
For the remainder of the week, students in Mrs. Brood’s class have been encouraged to demonstrate unity- by being intentional about their actions. Students can promote unity by writing inspirational messages on the playground sidewalks, expressing their appreciation of their friends and loved ones, and by inviting others (who they don’t typically spend time with) to eat lunch or play at recess.
