CONGRATULATIONS!  You have nearly reached the end of your high school experience.  The Pickford Public Schools Board of Education will honor you on Saturday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m.  in the gymnasium.  This celebration of your accomplishments is not mandatory.  You may choose not to participate, and your diploma can be picked up in the main office.  If you do choose to participate, you will be expected to behave in an appropriate manner and dress appropriately  for the occasion.

Graduation at Pickford High School has a tradition of dignity.  As per established Pickford Schools Board of Education policy, our graduates are not to wear any extra items that are not part of the school sponsored attire.  Appropriate dressy apparel is to be worn under gowns.  For gentlemen, this means dress pants or khaki pants.  For ladies, this means dress pants or a skirt/dress.  Footwear should be appropriate as well; no sneakers or flip flops please.  The board has approved the decoration of hats as long as they meet the guidelines and are approved by the administration.

Any graduates that behave inappropriately or wear items that are not acceptable will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.  They will need to come to the next Board of Education meeting and explain their actions in order to receive their diplomas.

    Please remember the following:

    1. Graduation practices are mandatory, if participating
    2. Students who do not pass required course credit assessments will not be allowed to participate in commencement.
    3. Laptops and power cords must be turned in before graduation .  If power cords are NOT returned, there will be a charge.
    4. Student locks and library books and uniforms also need to be returned prior to the graduation ceremony.
    5. Lunch accounts should be paid in full by  May 18 .  Please plan to pay cash for lunch after this date.

    6. Original diplomas will be held until all fees/charges are paid in full and items are returned.

Graduation is a celebration of your effort and achievement.  We anticipate that we will have no issues and look forward to the opportunity to share in your celebration.  We are grateful for your cooperation and wish you the best of luck as you transition into a bright and promising future!
